Entry Level Advertising Account Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level advertising account manager job?
Entry level advertising account managers get hired by demonstrating client communication skills, organizational ability, and a basic understanding of campaign workflows. Internship experience at an agency or brand, even a short one, gives candidates a clear edge. A portfolio showing campaign coordination, client-facing work, or media planning projects helps hiring managers see your potential before you have years of experience behind you.
Which companies hire entry level advertising account managers?
Companies hiring entry level advertising account managers right now include Amazon, Spectrum, and Taboola, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, both independent agencies and in-house marketing teams at mid-size and large brands actively recruit candidates with limited experience.
Are there remote entry level advertising account manager jobs?
Yes, though the majority of entry level openings are still on-site or hybrid. About 25% of entry level advertising account manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates open to in-office work will find the widest range of opportunities at this stage.
Are these new grad advertising account manager jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior advertising account manager roles. A posting is new grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships in place of full-time history, or asks for a portfolio rather than a long resume. If a job description says 'no experience necessary' or 'will train,' it is built for candidates at this stage.
Which industries hire the most entry level advertising account managers?
Entry Level advertising account manager roles concentrate in Retail, Technology & Software, and Marketing & Advertising, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive the most entry level hiring because they rely heavily on account teams to manage client relationships and coordinate campaigns across multiple channels.
