Entry Level Marketing Communications Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level marketing communications manager job?
Employers hiring at this level prioritize candidates who can show real work: writing samples, social media campaigns, press releases, or internship projects. A focused portfolio that demonstrates clear messaging and brand consistency gives you an edge over a blank resume. Tailoring your application to each employer's communications style and showing familiarity with tools like email platforms, content management systems, and basic analytics also signals readiness for the role.
Which companies hire entry level marketing communications managers?
Companies hiring entry level marketing communications managers right now include Penn State University, Pepperdine University, and SAP, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. A wide range of organizations hire at this level, from established corporations and nonprofits to fast-growing startups looking for communicators who can contribute quickly without extensive hand-holding.
Are there remote entry level marketing communications manager jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and industry. About 41% of entry level marketing communications manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who prefer flexibility have real options. Many communications functions, including content creation, email marketing, and social media management, translate naturally to remote work, making this role a reasonable target for location-flexible job seekers.
Are these new grad marketing communications manager jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior marketing communications manager roles. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and treats internships, coursework projects, or a strong portfolio as equivalent to professional experience. Look for language like 'entry level,' 'junior,' or 'recent graduates encouraged to apply' in the job description as a clear signal the employer is open to candidates just starting out.
Which industries hire the most entry level marketing communications managers?
Entry Level marketing communications manager roles concentrate in Education, Technology & Software, and Government & Public Sector, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to have active content, brand, and public relations needs that create genuine openings for junior communicators who can write clearly, manage messaging across channels, and support campaign execution from day one.
