Entry Level Insurance Sales Consultant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level insurance sales consultant job?
Focus on demonstrating communication skills, a client-first mindset, and any experience in sales, customer service, or finance, even if informal. Many employers at this level prioritize candidates who have completed relevant coursework, a licensing exam such as a state Property and Casualty or Life license, or a sales internship. Tailoring your resume to show results-oriented thinking gives you a real edge over candidates with longer but less focused experience.
Which companies hire entry level insurance sales consultants?
Companies hiring entry level insurance sales consultants right now include The Hartford, Arbella Insurance, and ADP, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from regional insurance agencies, national carriers, and financial services firms that run structured onboarding and licensing programs designed specifically for candidates new to the industry.
Are there remote entry level insurance sales consultant jobs?
Yes, though most openings at this level are on-site or hybrid given the client-facing nature of the role. About 77% of entry level insurance sales consultant openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with remote positions most common at larger carriers that support virtual sales teams and provide digital tools for prospect outreach and policy management.
Are these new grad insurance sales consultant jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior insurance sales consultant roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or part-time sales work in lieu of full-time history, or values a strong portfolio of client interactions and any pre-licensing coursework. Look for language like "no prior insurance experience required" or "will train" as clear indicators.
Which industries hire the most entry level insurance sales consultants?
Entry Level insurance sales consultant roles concentrate in Insurance and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026.
