Entry Level Public Relations Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level public relations manager job?
Entry level public relations manager roles typically look for candidates who can show real communication work, even from internships, class projects, or freelance campaigns. A portfolio with writing samples, press releases, or social media content gives you a concrete edge. Employers at this level often care more about what you have produced than how many years you have been on a payroll.
Which companies hire entry level public relations managers?
Companies hiring entry level public relations managers right now include Ecm Enterprises, Prosek Partners, and BairesDev, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The mix includes agencies, in-house corporate communications teams, and nonprofits, all of which tend to bring on junior talent to support campaigns and media outreach.
Are there remote entry level public relations manager jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles still make up a meaningful share of openings at this level. About 21% of entry level public relations manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates with flexibility on location have a wider pool to search from than in many other fields.
Are these new grad public relations manager jobs?
Yes, these include new grad, recent graduate, and junior public relations manager roles. A new grad friendly posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and treats internships, class projects, or a strong portfolio as qualifying credentials. If a listing does not require prior full-time work and mentions willingness to train, it is generally open to new graduates.
Which industries hire the most entry level public relations managers?
Entry Level public relations manager roles concentrate in Education, Sports & Recreation, and Marketing & Advertising, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors tend to have active communications needs, frequent campaigns, and enough team structure to bring on junior professionals who can learn on the job while contributing to real projects.
