Entry Level Digital Marketing Strategist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level digital marketing strategist job?
Employers hiring at this level look for hands-on evidence over credentials, so a portfolio showing real campaigns, measurable results, or course projects carries significant weight. Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, or HubSpot signals readiness. Internship experience, even unpaid or freelance work, helps candidates stand out. Tailoring your resume to the specific channels a company uses, whether SEO, paid social, or email, sharpens your application.
Which companies hire entry level digital marketing strategists?
Companies hiring entry level digital marketing strategists right now include SRP, GitLab, and H&R Block, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a broad range of employers, including fast-growing startups that need generalist digital support and larger organizations building out dedicated marketing teams.
Are there remote entry level digital marketing strategist jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid opportunities are a real part of this market. About 29% of entry level digital marketing strategist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, making this one of the more flexible fields for candidates who are not tied to a specific city. On-site roles still exist, particularly at agencies and companies that prioritize in-person collaboration early in a hire's career.
Are these new grad digital marketing strategist jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior digital marketing strategist roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or class projects as qualifying experience, or asks for a portfolio in place of a long work history. Titles like junior digital marketing strategist or marketing coordinator with a strategy focus often fall into this category as well.
Which industries hire the most entry level digital marketing strategists?
Entry Level digital marketing strategist roles concentrate in Education, Science & Research, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because they depend on continuous audience engagement, content output, and paid channel management, creating consistent demand for early-career talent who can execute campaigns with limited oversight.
