Entry Level Outside Sales Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level outside sales manager job?
Employers hiring at the entry level typically look for candidates who can show early sales experience, whether from internships, campus roles, or part-time customer-facing work. A demonstrated ability to prospect, build relationships, and close matters more than tenure. Highlighting any quota you met, territory you covered, or team you supported helps your application stand out against other new grad candidates.
Which companies hire entry level outside sales managers?
Companies hiring entry level outside sales managers right now include Spectrum, Groundworks, and Builders FirstSource, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. A mix of regional distributors, national service providers, and growth-stage companies tends to post the most entry level outside sales manager roles, since they often build territory teams from the ground up.
Are there remote entry level outside sales manager jobs?
Yes, though most outside sales roles involve some field work by nature. About 13% of entry level outside sales manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, typically covering inside-outside hybrid structures or roles where territory management is handled digitally before in-person visits begin. Filtering by work setting helps narrow to the format that fits your situation.
Are these new grad outside sales manager jobs?
Yes. This page includes new grad, recent graduate, and junior outside sales manager postings alongside other entry level listings. A posting is generally new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or campus sales work as qualifying background, or explicitly invites candidates without prior professional sales tenure to apply.
Which industries hire the most entry level outside sales managers?
Entry Level outside sales manager roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Distribution & Wholesale, and Manufacturing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because they rely on territory-based growth models that require building out new rep pipelines rather than promoting exclusively from within.
