Entry Level Account Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level account manager job?
Focus on demonstrating relationship-building and communication skills, which employers prioritize at this level over years of experience. Internships in sales, marketing, or customer success give you a concrete edge, and a portfolio showing client outreach, project coordination, or measurable results can strengthen any application. Tailor your resume to highlight outcomes, even from coursework or part-time work, and target employers who explicitly list zero to two years of experience as acceptable.
Which companies hire entry level account managers?
Companies hiring entry level account managers right now include State Farm, Allied Universal, and HUB International, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a broad mix of employers, including fast-growing startups, staffing firms, and established companies in technology, logistics, and business services that regularly bring on junior candidates to grow through structured training programs.
Are there remote entry level account manager jobs?
Yes, though many roles at this level still favor in-person or hybrid settings for onboarding and mentorship. About 15% of entry level account manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, giving candidates meaningful flexibility without limiting the pool significantly. Filtering by work setting when you search can help you focus on roles that match your situation right away.
Are these new grad account manager jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior account manager roles that welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A new grad friendly posting typically accepts zero to two years of experience, counts internships or volunteer work toward eligibility, and does not require a pre-existing client book. Look for language like "training provided," "entry level," or "recent graduates encouraged to apply" as reliable signals.
Which industries hire the most entry level account managers?
Entry Level account manager roles concentrate in Insurance, Technology & Software, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely on high client volume and frequent account turnover, creating consistent demand for junior candidates who can be trained on internal processes and brought up to speed quickly.
