Entry Level Marketing Designer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level marketing designer job?
Employers hiring at the entry level prioritize a polished portfolio over years of experience. Include class projects, freelance work, or self-initiated campaigns that show brand design, social assets, or digital ads. Familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Figma signals readiness. Tailoring each application to the job description and role-specific industry also gives candidates a clear edge at this stage.

Yes, remote and hybrid options do exist at this level, though on-site roles remain common. About 33% of entry level marketing designer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who need location flexibility will find real options among current listings without ruling out the full market.
Are these new grad marketing designer jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior marketing designer roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or academic work as a substitute for full-time history, or explicitly invites candidates to submit a portfolio in place of a lengthy resume. Searching for junior or new grad titles surfaces those opportunities directly.
Which industries hire the most entry level marketing designers?
