Entry Level Strategic Account Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level strategic account manager job?
Focus on demonstrating client-facing skills, even from internships, campus leadership, or part-time sales roles. Employers hiring at the entry level typically look for strong communication, the ability to build relationships quickly, and basic familiarity with CRM tools. Tailoring your resume to highlight any experience managing stakeholder expectations or driving a project toward a measurable outcome gives you a real edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level strategic account managers?
Companies hiring entry level strategic account managers right now include GitLab, Benchling, and RELX, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from technology vendors, SaaS platforms, and enterprise services firms that run structured sales development or account management training programs for candidates new to the field.
Are there remote entry level strategic account manager jobs?
Yes, though most entry level roles still favor in-office or hybrid arrangements given the relationship-building nature of the work. About 50% of entry level strategic account manager openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, so opportunities do exist for candidates who need location flexibility, particularly in technology and software sectors.
Are these new grad strategic account manager jobs?
Yes, many of the roles listed here are new grad and junior positions that explicitly welcome recent graduates with little or no professional experience. A new grad-friendly posting typically notes that it is open to candidates with zero to two years of experience, values internship work or a demonstrated portfolio, and offers onboarding or mentorship for candidates transitioning from campus into a client-facing career.
Which industries hire the most entry level strategic account managers?
Entry Level strategic account manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Manufacturing, and Non-Profit & Social Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors tend to drive entry level hiring because their business models depend on long-term client retention, creating steady demand for junior account managers who can be trained to manage and grow accounts from the ground up.
