AI Intern Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a ai intern in Louisiana?
Becoming an AI intern in Louisiana typically starts with enrollment in a computer science, data science, or engineering program at institutions such as Louisiana State University, Tulane University, or the University of New Orleans. Louisiana does not require a state-issued license for AI internship roles. Strong candidates complete relevant coursework, build a project portfolio, and pursue internships through their university's career center or directly through Louisiana employers in energy, healthcare, and technology.
Which companies hire ai interns in Louisiana?
Louisiana ai intern roles are posted by CVS Health, Walgreens, and Republic Finance and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Louisiana's energy, healthcare, and defense sectors are particularly active, with large anchor employers regularly offering structured internship programs tied to AI and data science initiatives.
Which Louisiana cities have the most ai intern jobs?
Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Lafayette lead Louisiana for ai intern openings. New Orleans and Baton Rouge drive the bulk of demand through their concentration of healthcare systems, technology firms, and university research partnerships, while Lafayette's energy sector and growing tech community support a steady share of AI internship opportunities outside the two largest metros.
Are there remote ai intern jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, and they are more common in AI internships than in most fields. About 22% of ai intern openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based and software-focused nature of the work. Data analytics, machine learning modeling, and natural language processing projects are the parts of AI internship work most likely to be offered in a fully remote or hybrid format.
How can I get hired as a ai intern in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying through university-affiliated internship programs before completing your degree. Louisiana State University's Division of Information Technology and Tulane's School of Science and Engineering both connect students to employer partners for first AI internships. Roles in data labeling, research assistance, or junior analytics are common stepping stones. A portfolio of class or personal projects using Python or machine learning frameworks gives candidates without professional experience a concrete edge in Louisiana hiring processes.
