AI Program Manager Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a ai program manager in Oregon?
Most Oregon employers require a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a closely related field as the foundation for this role. There is no state-issued license or registration required to work as an ai program manager in Oregon. Candidates who progress fastest typically pair that degree with a PMP credential or a recognized agile certification, then build experience managing technical programs inside Oregon's technology, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing sectors before stepping into dedicated AI program management.
Which companies hire ai program managers in Oregon?
Employers hiring ai program managers in Oregon right now include Lam Research, Intel Corporation, and Intel, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Oregon's concentration of semiconductor, cloud, and advanced manufacturing firms means demand is consistent year-round rather than seasonal.
Which Oregon cities have the most ai program manager jobs?
The cities with the most ai program manager openings in Oregon are Hillsboro, Portland, and Oregon. Portland anchors the market as the state's primary technology hub, while Hillsboro and Beaverton carry significant volume because Intel's large Oregon campus and Nike's world headquarters both drive steady demand for program managers who can operate at the intersection of AI, hardware, and product development.
Are there remote ai program manager jobs in Oregon?
Yes, and more than most fields. AI program management is fundamentally a coordination and strategy role that translates well to distributed work. About 81% of ai program manager openings tied to Oregon are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly Oregon's tech employers have adopted flexible work models. The portions of the role most often conducted remotely are stakeholder reporting, roadmap planning, and cross-team sprint ceremonies.
How can I get hired as a ai program manager in Oregon with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a technical coordinator, associate product manager, or data analyst role inside an Oregon technology or semiconductor company. Intel's Oregon sites, Nike's Beaverton campus, and mid-size Portland-area software firms regularly post associate program manager and program coordinator roles that serve as a structured on-ramp. Earning an agile certification such as Certified ScrumMaster before applying, and building a portfolio that documents a program you drove from kickoff to delivery, meaningfully separates candidates without formal program management titles.
Where can I find and apply to ai program manager jobs in Oregon?
You can find and apply to ai program manager jobs in Oregon on Migrate Mate, which lists current Oregon openings updated on an ongoing basis. Search the listings for roles that match your experience level and specialty, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
