AI Program Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a ai program manager in Florida?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems, followed by hands-on experience coordinating AI or software development projects. Florida has no state-issued license specific to this role, but employers here consistently expect PMP certification from the Project Management Institute, which can be pursued while working. Building experience with agile delivery and machine learning workflows at any Florida tech company or defense contractor substantially strengthens your candidacy.
Which companies hire ai program managers in Florida?
Employers hiring ai program managers in Florida right now include Mayo Clinic, American Express, and Jabil, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's defense corridor, anchored by major contractors near Orlando and the Space Coast, and its growing fintech and health-tech sectors in Miami and Tampa, generate consistent demand for this role throughout the year.
Which Florida cities have the most ai program manager jobs?
Tampa, Sunrise, and Jacksonville account for the most ai program manager openings in Florida. Miami drives volume through its expanding fintech, healthtech, and enterprise software companies, Orlando benefits from a dense cluster of defense contractors and simulation technology firms near the Space Coast, and Tampa's growth in cybersecurity and financial services has steadily increased demand for program managers overseeing AI initiatives.
Are there remote ai program manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 67% of ai program manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the largely strategic and collaborative nature of the role. Strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder reporting are frequently done remotely, while roles at defense contractors or highly regulated financial institutions tend to require a physical presence in Florida.
How can I get hired as a ai program manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a project coordinator or technical program coordinator role at a Florida tech company, defense contractor, or large health system, where you gain direct exposure to AI or software delivery teams. Employers like Lockheed Martin and AdventHealth run associate program management rotations that accept candidates with limited formal experience. Earning a Certified Associate in Project Management credential before applying, and building a portfolio of any AI-adjacent project work, even from coursework or volunteer initiatives, gives Florida hiring managers a concrete reason to consider you.
Where can I find and apply to ai program manager jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to ai program manager jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across industries and metros. Find roles that fit your experience and apply directly to each one.
