Position Summary
We are seeking an AI & Data operations Specialist to support our operations by leveraging artificial intelligence, automation, and data analytics to improve productivity, reporting, and decision-making. This position will work closely with operations, project management, accounting, safety, and executive leadership integrate data across company systems, automate data flows, and transform information into meaningful insights.
The ideal candidate will identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, improve reporting, streamline workflows, and implement AI solutions that help our teams work more efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data from project management, accounting, estimating, payroll, fleet, and production systems.
- Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop dashboards and reports to provide real-time visibility into project performance, labor productivity, equipment utilization, and company KPIs.
- Identify opportunities to automate administrative and operational processes using AI and workflow automation.
- Develop AI-assisted tools to improve estimating, scheduling, document management, and reporting.
- Work with project managers and department leaders to identify inefficiencies and recommend technology-driven solutions.
- Develop and maintain system integrations to automate data flow and improve reporting using APIs, SQL, Python, Power Automate, or similar tools. Evaluate and implement AI tools to improve estimating, project management, accounting, safety, and operations. Create standard operating procedures and train employees on AI applications and new technologies.
- Ensure data accuracy, security, and consistency across company systems.
- Stay informed on emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications for the construction industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Construction Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience analyzing business and operational data.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365.
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI or other business intelligence software is preferred.
- Experience with construction software such as Procore, Viewpoint Vista, Spectrum, HCSS, HeavyJob, Sage, or similar ERP/project management systems is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical information in a way that is easy for non-technical users to understand.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of construction operations, estimating, scheduling, equipment, or project controls.
- Experience with Python or other programming/scripting languages used for data integration and automation.
- Experience with workflow automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate.
- Working knowledge of SQL or database management is preferred .
- Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
