Job Overview
Are you ready to define the future of data in global financial services? As Vice President, Product Management — AI & Intelligent Data Platforms at Citi, you will lead the strategy and delivery of a next-generation, AI-first data platform within Investor Services, shaping how asset managers, pension funds, and financial intermediaries access and consume data at scale. Sitting within the Data & Client Platform team in Tampa, this is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of product strategy, cloud technology, and intelligent automation.
Responsibilities:
- Define and champion the product vision for an autonomous, self-service data platform, translating market opportunities and competitive analysis into a prioritized roadmap that aligns with Investor Services' strategic goals.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle — from market analysis and requirements gathering through go-to-market execution, launch, and continuous iteration — establishing feedback mechanisms that drive sustained product-market fit.
- Champion the application of AI and ML to automate Funds and Custody data operations — including ingestion, reconciliation, and validation — reducing manual intervention and building a resilient, low-touch platform environment.
- Define requirements for AI-powered client and developer tools, such as data discovery copilots and support chatbots, to accelerate time-to-value and elevate the end-user experience.
- Partner with Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Marketing to deliver a cohesive, market-leading product experience, cultivating an AI-first, product-led culture across cross-functional teams.
- Leverage AI-generated insights into client behavior and data demand patterns to shape data productization strategies and articulate clear value propositions for new platform offerings.
Qualifications:
- 10–15+ years in product management with a demonstrated history of launching and scaling technical, data-intensive products from concept through to market adoption.
- Deep expertise in modern data architecture in Funds and Custody domains, including cloud platforms such as Snowflake and AWS, streaming technologies, and API-first design principles.
- Practical knowledge of how AI and ML are applied to solve business problems, particularly in the areas of automation, anomaly detection, and demand forecasting.
- Proven ability to define and communicate product strategy and roadmaps, balancing long-term platform ambitions with near-term delivery commitments across large, cross-functional organizations.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear strategic narratives for both executive and technical audiences.
- Experience driving significant organizational change through influence, leading teams across engineering, data science, and commercial functions without direct line authority.
What we offer:
This role offers the scope and platform to make a genuine impact — both on the evolution of data products within global financial services and on your own career trajectory. Based in Tampa with a hybrid working model, you will have access to a competitive rewards package and a range of benefits designed to support your professional and personal priorities.
- Competitive base salary, reviewed annually to reflect your contribution and growth.
- Discretionary annual performance-related bonus.

- Private medical insurance packages tailored to your personal circumstances.
- Pension plan to support your long-term financial wellbeing.
- Paid parental leave to support you during key life moments.
- Employee Assistance Program offering confidential support across a range of personal and professional matters.
- Special discounts for employees, family, and friends.
- Access to a broad portfolio of learning and development resources to accelerate your growth in both technical and leadership directions.
- Career development opportunities across Citi's global network, with daily exposure to complex, high-stakes challenges that build lasting expertise in financial services technology

AI Data Engineer Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a ai data engineer in Florida?
There is no state-issued license required to work as an ai data engineer in Florida. Most employers hire candidates who hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field, though many Florida technology employers also consider candidates with equivalent bootcamp training and a strong project portfolio. Earning cloud certifications from AWS, Google, or Microsoft strengthens a Florida application considerably, and several Florida universities including the University of Florida and Florida International University offer graduate programs in data science and AI that align directly with this role.
How much do AI data engineers make in Florida?
AI data engineers in Florida earn a median of about $115,820 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $63,080 for the lowest 10% to over $174,140 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire ai data engineers in Florida?
Employers hiring ai data engineers in Florida right now include Citi, Mayo Clinic, and Disney Experiences, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's mix of financial services firms headquartered in Miami, defense and aerospace contractors along the Space Coast, and large health systems across the state creates a broad and steady base of demand for this role.
Which Florida cities have the most ai data engineer jobs?
Tampa, Florida, and Miami are the Florida cities with the most ai data engineer openings. Miami drives volume through its dense concentration of fintech, banking, and international technology companies, while Tampa draws hiring from healthcare IT and financial services firms, and Orlando benefits from defense contracting, simulation technology, and the growing enterprise tech corridor along its I-4 corridor.
Are there remote ai data engineer jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 77% of ai data engineer openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how central this role is to cloud-based and distributed technology teams. The parts of the role most likely to be fully remote are pipeline development, data modeling, and ML infrastructure work, while roles requiring on-site data governance or embedded team collaboration tend to favor hybrid arrangements.
How can I get hired as a ai data engineer in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a related analyst or data analyst role, where you can demonstrate SQL fluency and pipeline curiosity before pursuing a full engineering title. Large Florida employers like AdventHealth and Citigroup's Tampa operations hire associate data engineers and data analyst fellows who rotate into engineering responsibilities. Building a public portfolio on GitHub that shows end-to-end pipeline projects using open datasets is the single strongest differentiator for Florida candidates without formal engineering experience, and earning an entry-level cloud certification from AWS or Google Cloud before applying helps clear automated screening filters.
Where can I find and apply to ai data engineer jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to ai data engineer jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings from employers across the state. Find roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly to the ones that match.
