AI Program Manager Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a ai program manager in New York?
AI program managers in New York typically enter the role through a technical bachelor's degree followed by program or project management experience on data or software teams. No state-issued license is required, but New York employers in finance and healthcare place significant weight on PMP or PMI-ACP certification. Building experience in agile delivery, AI product development, or data governance within New York's dense financial services or health-tech sectors is the most direct path to a competitive candidacy.
Which companies hire ai program managers in New York?
Employers hiring ai program managers in New York right now include EY, Bloomberg, and OpenAI, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of global financial institutions, major media companies, and large healthcare systems means demand is consistently broad and not limited to pure technology firms.
Which New York cities have the most ai program manager jobs?
New York, Atlanta, and Brooklyn have the most ai program manager openings in New York. New York City dominates because of its density of financial services headquarters, enterprise technology firms, and media companies, while Buffalo and Albany see steady demand driven by state government AI initiatives, regional hospital networks, and university-affiliated research programs that need dedicated program management.
Are there remote ai program manager jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 42% of ai program manager openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the coordination work happens across distributed engineering and data science teams. The parts of the role most commonly done remotely include vendor management, roadmap planning, and stakeholder reporting, while on-site presence is more common during major program launches or regulated-industry audits.
How can I get hired as a ai program manager in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a technical adjacent role such as business analyst, product coordinator, or data operations analyst within a New York employer already running AI programs. Large institutions like Memorial Sloan Kettering, Citigroup, and New York-Presbyterian hire associate program managers and rotational program coordinators who support senior PMs before stepping into independent ownership. Building a portfolio around a completed AI project, even academic or volunteer, and earning a PMP Certified Associate credential gives candidates a concrete edge in a market that screens heavily on delivery credentials.
Where can I find and apply to ai program manager jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to ai program manager jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current New York openings updated in real time. Search the listings, find roles that fit your experience and preferred location, and apply directly to the employer without any additional sign-up step required.
