Role
As an AI Solutions Engineer, you will be at the heart of our mission to integrate AI into the processes and workflows serving DailyPay. Situated directly within DailyPay's Engineering organization, you will empower other departments to create AI-based solutions and act as their premier "go-to" technical leader.
In this cross-functional role, you work with domain experts to capture workflows as skills, uncover workflow bottlenecks, and build the custom software, scripts, and model integrations needed to bring DailyPay’s AI strategy to life. By bridging the gap between enterprise-grade AI engineering and daily business unit execution, you will raise the bar for engineering excellence and ensure our technology directly translates into enhanced financial wellness for our users.
How You Will Make an Impact
Discover and Build: Embedded across departments to shadow domain experts to uncover workflows and pain points, design and ship automation (MVPs, custom scripts, API integrations), and mature solutions into managed, durable agents.
Own Outcomes: Define metrics with stakeholders, track adoption and ROI, and prioritize projects based on feasibility, risk, and business value.
Build Reliable AI Systems: Design, build, evaluate, and operate AI workflows; implement evaluation frameworks, guardrails, observability, and feedback loops.
Be the resident expert: Serve as the on-the-ground authority for AI questions. Help non-technical teams evaluate, configure, and get more out of the AI features already sitting in their existing SaaS stack.
Elevate AI literacy: Mentor peers in AI development, build learnings into reusable documentation and training, and demo emerging AI capabilities to inspire many across the company.
Enrich Engineering: Steer hosted harness and local harness development with the distilled problems, prototypes, and established workflows created with various departments.
Optimize AI Performance and Cost: Benchmark model performance, optimize prompt/token usage, manage API latency, and monitor operational costs to keep AI applications efficient and scalable as usage grows.
Promote safe and responsible usage: Ensure department-level AI work adheres to company policy on data privacy, security, and ethical use.
What You Bring to the Team
Software Engineering Foundation: 3+ years of professional software development experience, featuring strong proficiency in Go or JavaScript (ideally both) and standard engineering practices (version control, testing).
Practical AI/LLM Implementation: Hands-on experience building, or contributing to applications with Large Language Models (LLMs) or managing complex workflows using AI tools. Has a deep understanding of managing larger AI-powered projects including agent design, skills, context, and memory.

AI Solutions Engineer Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a ai solutions engineer in Minnesota?
Most ai solutions engineers in Minnesota enter the field with a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a closely related discipline, as no state-issued license is required for this role. From there, employers look for hands-on experience with AI frameworks and cloud platforms, which candidates typically build through internships, capstone projects, or adjacent engineering roles. Earning vendor certifications from Microsoft, AWS, or Google Cloud strengthens applications significantly in Minnesota's enterprise and healthcare IT markets.
How much do AI solutions engineers make in Minnesota?
AI solutions engineers in Minnesota earn a median of about $130,050 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,900 for the lowest 10% to over $169,810 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire ai solutions engineers in Minnesota?
Employers hiring ai solutions engineers in Minnesota right now include Boston Scientific, Loram, and Target, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters in financial services, retail, and healthcare creates consistent demand for engineers who can bring AI products from prototype to production.
Which Minnesota cities have the most ai solutions engineer jobs?
The cities with the most ai solutions engineer openings in Minnesota are Minneapolis, Eagan, and Arden Hills. The Twin Cities metro drives the majority of listings, anchored by headquarters and large technology divisions in financial services, retail, and healthcare, while Rochester's presence in medical technology and IBM operations supports a smaller but active secondary market for AI-focused engineering talent.
Are there remote ai solutions engineer jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of ai solutions engineer openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of this work involves cloud-based development and client collaboration over digital tools. The phases most likely to stay fully remote are model development, API integration, and documentation, while on-site presence is more common during initial enterprise deployment and stakeholder workshops.
How can I get hired as a ai solutions engineer in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a software developer or data analyst role into AI-adjacent projects within a current employer, then transitioning into a solutions engineering title. Large Minnesota employers like UnitedHealth Group and Target run technology associate programs and rotational tracks that place early-career candidates on AI product teams. Building a portfolio of deployed projects using open-source datasets and pursuing a cloud AI certification from AWS or Microsoft Azure gives candidates from non-traditional backgrounds a concrete edge when applying.
Where can I find and apply to ai solutions engineer jobs in Minnesota?
You can find and apply to ai solutions engineer jobs in Minnesota on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings, identify the roles that fit your background and experience level, and apply directly to the ones that match.
