Architect Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an architect job in Dallas?
Dallas hiring concentrates in commercial development, healthcare, and urban mixed-use projects, so targeting firms active in those sectors gives you the clearest path in. The Design District and Uptown corridor have the highest density of architecture practices. Candidates with BIM proficiency, mixed-use or healthcare project experience, and familiarity with Texas climate and construction norms stand out in local searches.
Which companies hire architects in Dallas?
Employers hiring architects in Dallas right now include Amazon Web Services, Deloitte, and Humana, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Dallas draws a mix of large commercial firms, healthcare-focused practices, and regional design-build contractors that staff architects across project types from civic and institutional work to high-rise residential.
Are there remote architect jobs in Dallas?
Yes, but selectively, design, documentation, and BIM coordination can shift remote, while site supervision and client-facing roles stay on-site. About 35% of architect openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. In Dallas specifically, hybrid arrangements are most common at larger commercial studios where project teams split between office-based design work and active construction sites.
How can I get an architect job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Dallas is joining a mid-size commercial or interiors firm as a junior drafter or architectural intern, where project volume stays high enough to build a portfolio quickly. Dallas healthcare and hospitality developers regularly hire recent graduates for documentation roles that grow into project coordination. Strong Revit skills and a portfolio showing mixed-use or commercial work get the most traction with local employers.
Which industries hire the most architects in Dallas?
Dallas architect roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Distribution & Wholesale, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026.
