Architect Jobs in Richardson: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an architect job in Richardson?
Focus your search on the commercial, healthcare, and mixed-use development sectors that drive most Richardson hiring. The CityLine district and Telecom Corridor attract corporate campus and tenant improvement work, while medical office and healthcare facility projects near the UTD corridor are growing steadily. Candidates with BIM proficiency, healthcare design experience, or a portfolio showing large-scale commercial interiors tend to stand out with Richardson-area firms and corporate real estate teams.
Which companies hire architects in Richardson?
Employers hiring architects in Richardson right now include Infosys, Micron Technology, and RTX, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Richardson's hiring mix leans toward corporate real estate departments, healthcare systems, and architecture and engineering firms supporting the city's dense commercial and campus development activity.
Are there remote architect jobs in Richardson?
Yes, though remote opportunities are limited given that most architect roles involve site visits, client meetings, and construction oversight. About 100% of architect openings tied to Richardson are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, reflecting broader industry norms. The tasks most commonly done remotely in Richardson include schematic design, BIM modeling, and permit document production for firms with established local project teams.
How can I get an architect job in Richardson with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Richardson is targeting intern architect or architectural designer roles at mid-size commercial and healthcare-focused firms operating near CityLine or along the Telecom Corridor. Many Richardson employers hire recent graduates from UT Dallas and other Texas programs for production and BIM support roles. Building a portfolio with commercial or institutional project work, even from school, and gaining Revit proficiency gives entry-level candidates a practical edge with local firms.
Which industries hire the most architects in Richardson?
Most architect openings in Richardson sit in Technology & Software and Electronics & Hardware, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Richardson's concentration of corporate headquarters, healthcare campuses, and large mixed-use developments like CityLine creates consistent demand across those sectors for both design and project delivery talent.
