Field Service Technician – DFW Area

Platinum Copier Solutions is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician to support our growing client base across the Dallas/Fort Worth area and surrounding communities.

This role is primarily responsible for the diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and installation of copiers, printers and office technology equipment in a field-based environment. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide on-site service, maintenance, and repair for copiers, printers, and multifunction devices
• Delivery, install and configure new equipment, including network setup and customer onboarding
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues (network printing, scanning, etc.)
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal device performance
• Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution
• Manage and complete assigned service calls, orders, priority levels within scheduled timeframes
• Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and call notes
• Collaborate with internal support teams to resolve escalated technical issues
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory
• Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned based on business needs

Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Experience in copier/printer service, office equipment repair, or related technical field preferred
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-first mindset
• Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, basic networking, print drivers, scanning configurations, and connectivity troubleshooting
• Experience with Sharp copier products and brand
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field environment
• Ability to lift and move equipment (with appropriate tools/assistance)
