QA Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a qa manager in Texas?
Most qa managers in Texas move into the role after earning a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field and building several years of hands-on quality experience. While Texas does not require a state-issued license to work as a qa manager, employers strongly favor candidates who hold a Certified Quality Manager credential from the American Society for Quality, which has active Texas sections in Houston, Dallas, and Austin offering local exam prep and networking.
Which companies hire qa managers in Texas?
Employers hiring qa managers in Texas right now include Tesla, Texas Health and Human Services Commission, and SGS, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Texas's concentration of aerospace, semiconductor, and medical device manufacturers means quality management roles appear consistently across both large OEMs and their regional supplier networks.
Which Texas cities have the most qa manager jobs?
Houston, Austin, and Dallas have the most qa manager openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston drive volume through their dense aerospace, defense, and energy supply chains, while Austin's rapid growth in semiconductor fabrication and software development has made it one of the fastest-rising markets for quality management talent in the state.
Are there remote qa manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, but they are less common than in purely analytical roles because many qa manager positions require on-site presence for audits, floor inspections, and supplier visits. About 29% of qa manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with the remote fraction concentrated in software quality assurance and compliance documentation roles rather than manufacturing or regulated-industry positions.
How can I get hired as a qa manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is moving laterally from a quality engineer, quality technician, or test engineer role into a team-lead position before applying for full management titles. Large Texas manufacturers and aerospace contractors frequently post associate quality engineer and quality coordinator openings that serve as feeders into management. Earning an entry-level Certified Quality Engineer credential from the American Society for Quality and building audit or corrective-action experience at companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth or Houston industrial corridors gives candidates the strongest edge.
Where can I find and apply to qa manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to qa manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and preferred location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
