Construction Project Manager Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager Assistant to oversee construction projects from groundbreaking through final completion in East Tennessee area. This is a full-time, multiple location position.

This position requires a self motivated person who can effectively manage communication with multiple parties and drive projects. Must communicate with engineers, architects, subcontractors, review and enforce schedules, safety, State of Tennessee and local rules and regulation, control project costs, and ensure exceptional workmanship while delivering the project on an accelerated timeline. Any major licensing will be in consideration for higher compensation.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day construction paperwork, scheduling, safety, filing, licensing from project start through final completion.
• Have difficult conversation with project managers, subcontractors, and even owners if needed for performance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and daily work plans.
• Create and enforce daily task lists to keep the project on schedule.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and material deliveries.
• Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, building codes, and contract documents.
• Conduct routine jobsite inspections to monitor quality, safety, and progress.
• Manage budgets, invoices, purchase orders, and project documentation.
• Procure materials and coordinate project logistics.
• Communicate effectively with ownership, architects, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure all work meets company standards.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and a safe jobsite.
• Operate aerial lifts or similar equipment when necessary.
• Identify and resolve field issues quickly while minimizing delays.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction project management experience needed.
• Preferably bilingual knowing English and Spanish.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades simultaneously.
• Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook (email), and Word.
• Experience with construction management software such as Procore is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices.

• Ability to work full-time on-site around Morristown, TN and Bulls Gap, TN.
• Dependable, professional, and financially responsible.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening if required.

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
