Associate Attorney Jobs in Denver: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an associate attorney job in Denver?
Candidates who land associate attorney roles in Denver fastest typically target the city's busy litigation boutiques, regional corporate firms headquartered in the Central Business District, and in-house legal teams at Colorado's energy, real estate, and healthcare companies. Experience in natural resources, construction, or commercial real estate law is a genuine edge here. Active involvement with the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association also helps open doors with local hiring partners.
Which companies hire associate attorneys in Denver?

The local market includes a mix of Am Law 200 regional offices, mid-size Colorado-headquartered firms, and in-house legal departments at publicly traded Denver companies in energy, real estate, and financial services.
Are there remote associate attorney jobs in Denver?
Yes, though in-person presence remains the norm for most associate attorney roles given court appearances, client meetings, and mentorship expectations. About 76% of associate attorney openings tied to Denver are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, concentrated among contract review, compliance, and corporate transactional work rather than litigation roles that require courthouse appearances.
How can I get an associate attorney job in Denver with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Denver is a judicial clerkship with the Colorado District Court or the Tenth Circuit, which Denver firms actively recruit from. Entry-level candidates should also target Colorado-based legal aid organizations, the Denver City Attorney's Office, and small litigation boutiques that take on junior associates to staff growing caseloads. A summer associate stint at a Denver firm during law school remains the most direct conversion path.
