Entry Level Auditor Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level auditor job?
Focus on building relevant experience through internships, campus accounting clubs, or volunteer bookkeeping work before you apply. Employers hiring at this level look for candidates with a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, familiarity with spreadsheet tools, and attention to detail. Certifications like the CPA exam candidacy or a relevant coursework background give junior applicants a clear edge.
Which companies hire entry level auditors?

Hiring covers large public accounting firms, regional CPA practices, financial institutions, and government agencies, many of which run structured new-hire programs designed specifically for candidates entering the profession for the first time.
Are there remote entry level auditor jobs?
Yes, though most entry level audit roles are on-site or hybrid. About 24% of entry level auditor openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the hands-on, document-intensive nature of audit work. Remote opportunities tend to appear more often in internal audit and compliance functions than in public accounting firms.
Are these new grad auditor jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior auditor roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or practicum work in place of full-time history, or lists a portfolio of relevant coursework as qualifying experience. Look for language like "entry level," "new graduate," or "no prior experience required" in the job description.
