About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Manager within Business Finance, to support the Middle Market Banking (“MMB") business within Wells Fargo Commercial Banking Finance. In this role, you will:
Manage and develop teams of individual contributors or managers in support of financial analysis services for one or more Business Lines on moderately complex matters related to financial data forecasting of financial metrics, analysis and reporting supporting operating and strategic reviews.
Engage and influence stakeholders on financial analysis, reporting strategy and economic research that may have critical impact on the long-term business performance.
Lead ad-hoc analyses on high-priority topics for senior leaders to enable business strategy, activities and initiatives.
Develop executive-ready presentations that translate analyses into clear, compelling recommendations.
Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development.
Leverage analytics, automation, and emerging AI capabilities to improve decision-making and team effectiveness.
Determine appropriate strategy for efficient and effective process in support of providing key finance services such as management reporting and key metrics forecasting.
Maintain functional ownership of various aspects of financial reporting services running and enhancing reporting systems to facilitate the production of information, budgeting analysis, forecasting analysis, variance analysis, variance commentary, reporting and reviews, presentation and project preparation.
Interpret and develop policies and procedures for financial analysis and reporting.
Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including senior managers.
Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Finance.
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Finance experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
3+ years of management or leadership experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals.
Ability to translate and present complex data in a manner that educates, enhances understanding, and influence decisions.
Demonstrated experience leading Financial Planning & Analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range strategic planning, performance management, and executive financial reporting within a large, complex financial services organization.
Prior Finance experience in Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Commercial Banking, with possessing a strong understanding of banking products, revenue drivers, profitability metrics, and financial performance management.
Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office and Power BI.
A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting.
Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment.
Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
Sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement.
Strong controls background and mindset.
Hyperion Essbase experience to complete ad hoc queries and reporting building, etc.
