Facility: Anderson Center
Department/Specialty: Residential Adolescent Unit
Schedule: Days | Full Time | 7:00am - 3:30pm, Every other weekend requirement
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
How you'll make an impact in this role:
- Establish meaningful therapeutic relationships with adolescent patients to foster a safe, trusting environment conducive to emotional healing.
- Deliver compassionate direct care and therapeutic interventions that support each patient’s unique treatment goals and daily physical needs.
- Monitor and document behavioral trends with precision, ensuring the clinical team has the insights needed to provide high-quality, responsive care.
- Advocate for patient progress by reporting real-time changes in condition and collaborating on vital adjustments to their individualized treatment plans.
- Behavioral Interventions: Implementing individualized behavior plans (BIPs) or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to reduce problem behaviors and increase positive actions.
- Safety and Supervision: Ensuring the safety of residents through constant monitoring, regular room checks, and following crisis intervention or de-escalation guidelines.
- Support for Daily Living: Helping adolescents with daily tasks, such as hygiene, mealtimes, and room cleanliness.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
What minimum qualifications you'll need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
- Nurse Aide credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
