We are hiring for:
Behavioral Health Technician / DAYS/ Part time

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient support, observation, and milieu monitoring in accordance with individualized plans of care, safety precautions, and assigned observation levels.
- Assist with patient admissions, orientation to the unit, routine needs, and transition/discharge activities as directed by the clinical and nursing team.
- Support crisis stabilization through calm, respectful engagement, de-escalation skills, trauma-informed communication, and appropriate boundary setting.
- Monitor and report changes in patient behavior, mood, safety concerns, withdrawal symptoms, medical concerns, or response to interventions to the appropriate team member.
- Complete safety checks, documentation, and communication of relevant patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Recognize and respond to patient distress, escalation, elopement risk, and other safety concerns in a calm, supportive manner while following established facility protocols.
- Follow infection control, environmental safety, contraband, and special precaution procedures to protect patients, staff, and the therapeutic environment.
- Participate in shift handoff, team communication, quality improvement activities, and ongoing training to support safe and effective crisis services.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- 2 years’ experience working at the level of behavioral health care assistant
- Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance required
Schedule: Days 12pm - 4pm

- Complete criminal background
- Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
- Drug testing
- Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
- Proof of employment history or references (if required)
- Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
