Bookkeeper Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a bookkeeper job in Phoenix?
Focus your search on Phoenix's real estate firms, general contractors, and healthcare groups, which hire bookkeepers consistently throughout the year. The Camelback Corridor and Downtown Phoenix hold the densest concentration of accounting and finance roles. Candidates who know QuickBooks, have experience with job-cost accounting, or can handle accounts payable and receivable end-to-end stand out most with Phoenix employers.
Which companies hire bookkeepers in Phoenix?
Employers hiring bookkeepers in Phoenix right now include State of Arizona, Pyramid Global Hospitality, and TSMC, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Phoenix's mix of mid-size construction companies, property management firms, and regional healthcare providers creates steady, year-round bookkeeper demand across the metro.
Are there remote bookkeeper jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though remote availability depends on the employer, since bookkeepers handling cash, physical invoices, or on-site payroll are typically expected in the office. About 39% of bookkeeper openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with remote roles most common at professional services firms and tech-adjacent companies in the Tempe and Scottsdale corridors.
How can I get a bookkeeper job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Phoenix is targeting accounts payable or accounts receivable clerk roles at local construction companies, property management groups, or healthcare billing departments, which routinely hire and train candidates with limited experience. Gaining familiarity with QuickBooks or Xero before applying is a concrete advantage. Tempe-area staffing firms that place accounting support staff are another accessible route into full-cycle bookkeeping work.
Which industries hire the most bookkeepers in Phoenix?
Phoenix bookkeeper roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Telecommunications, and Staffing & Recruiting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Phoenix's rapid commercial construction growth, large healthcare infrastructure, and active real estate market all require dedicated bookkeeping support, making those sectors the most consistent sources of local openings.
