Overview
As a Bookkeeper, you’ll keep financial records accurate, organized, and ready to support sound business decisions. You’ll manage day-to-day bookkeeping, maintain the general ledger, and help ensure transactions are recorded in line with applicable accounting standards and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Your impact: Accurate records and timely reconciliations help leaders and colleagues understand financial activity and make informed decisions.
Salary range will be based on prior work experiance.
Responsibilities
- Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts using double-entry bookkeeping, debits and credits, and accounting systems.
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll; track transactions and support budgeting.
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare clear financial reports and maintain organized records using spreadsheets and financial software.
- Support accounting activities across corporate, nonprofit, or public accounting environments, as applicable.
- Articulate our paid when paid subcontractors
Experience
- Bookkeeper experience or other accounting and finance experience, with a working understanding of financial concepts, technical accounting, and accounting standards.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Sage, Xero, or Quicken; familiarity with other financial software and accounting systems is useful.
- Knowledge of account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Familiarity with payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and financial report writing.
- Strong spreadsheet skills and accurate 10-key typing; understanding of bookkeeping, GAAP, and budgeting is preferred.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
