How do I get a business development analyst job in Houston?
Focus your search on Houston's Energy Corridor, Downtown, and Greenway Plaza, where energy operators, healthcare systems, and industrial logistics firms hire business development analysts most actively. Candidates who combine CRM proficiency with an understanding of energy markets or supply chain dynamics stand out locally. Networking through Houston's industry associations and targeting mid-size firms expanding into new verticals also gives you a concrete edge over generalist applicants.
Which companies hire business development analysts in Houston?

Houston's employer mix skews toward energy majors, integrated health systems, and engineering and construction firms, all of which maintain dedicated business development functions.
Are there remote business development analyst jobs in Houston?
Yes, though availability depends on the sector. About 0% of business development analyst openings tied to Houston are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with the highest share in technology and financial services firms based in the Galleria and Downtown corridors. Research, pipeline analysis, and market modeling tasks tend to be most portable, while roles tied to energy asset deals or in-person client work typically require on-site presence.
How can I get a business development analyst job in Houston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Houston is targeting coordinator or business development associate roles at mid-size energy services, healthcare, or logistics companies, where analysts are often promoted from within. Local firms in the Energy Corridor and Medical Center regularly hire recent graduates with data analysis skills and some exposure to sales operations or market research. A business degree from a Houston-area university, familiarity with Salesforce or HubSpot, and a demonstrated interest in the company's specific sector all strengthen an entry-level application.

Houston's outsized presence in upstream and midstream energy, one of the largest medical complexes in the country, and a major port-driven logistics sector create sustained and recurring demand for analysts who can identify growth opportunities and evaluate partnerships.
