Monte Sano Research Corporation (MSRC) is a Huntsville-based Small Business specializing in providing full-spectrum defense system engineering, research, design, development, integration, test, evaluation, and planning services to the U.S. Government.

MSRC is seeking a Director, Business Development Operations to identify and pursue new business opportunities, lead capture efforts, develop strategic partnerships, and strengthen customer relationships across the Department of War and federal marketplace. This role works closely with company leadership to support long-term growth and successful contract awards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a qualified pipeline of federal business opportunities.
- Lead capture activities from opportunity identification through contract award.
- Develop capture strategies, win themes, and proposal approaches.
- Build and maintain relationships with government customers, prime contractors, and industry partners.
- Identify and pursue teaming, joint venture, and strategic partnership opportunities.
- Support company positioning on major contract vehicles, including GWACs, IDIQs, and BPAs.
- Collaborate with technical, contracts, pricing, and operations teams to develop winning solutions.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Acquisition Management, Engineering, or a related field required.
Job Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in business development, capture management, or strategic growth within the federal government contracting industry.
- Demonstrated success supporting or leading competitive federal contract pursuits.
- Experience supporting Department of War customers and familiarity with federal acquisition processes.
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, and other federal contract vehicles.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Specific experience required: building and maintaining GSA Schedules, OASIS+ contract opportunity pursuits, EXPRESS program organization, structure, teaming, opportunities and pursuits.
- Specific experience preferred: management of SBIR/STTR proposals, OTA whitepaper development, development of SBA Mentor-Protégé Joint Venture proposals, EXPRESS BPA management and reporting.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Candidate must currently possess and be able to maintain an active security clearance.
