Job Summary:

As a member of the Clear Channel Outdoor Business Operations team, the Vice President, Business Operations leads the development and execution of strategic and operational initiatives that improve how the company works and delivers results. The position partners with executives, functional leaders, support teams, and our 400+ member sales organization to translate business strategy into actionable solutions, establish the processes and capabilities necessary to execute them, and ensure successful implementation and adoption.
By providing senior leadership across business process, technology-enabled solutions, program execution, and organizational readiness, this position helps manage critical day-to-day Business Operations priorities while advancing major transformation efforts. The Vice President serves as an accountable execution leader for complex, cross-functional initiatives from initial strategy and solution development through implementation, measurement, and sustained operating performance.

Job Responsibilities

• 
  Partner with senior leadership to translate company strategy into executable priorities
  • Cultivate and develop productive relationships with executives and functional leaders to understand business objectives, operating challenges, and opportunities for improvement
  • Translate strategic objectives into clearly defined initiatives, outcomes, requirements, workplans, and measures of success
  • Provide senior-level guidance and recommendations regarding priorities, sequencing, resource requirements, dependencies, and execution risk
  • Establish alignment among stakeholders where priorities, requirements, or functional perspectives differ
  • Proactively identify emerging business needs and opportunities requiring Business Operations leadership or intervention
• Lead complex strategic and operational initiatives from development through execution
  • Assume accountability for major cross-functional initiatives requiring coordination across business functions, markets, technology, and support teams
  • Develop the operating structure necessary to move initiatives forward, including workplans, governance, milestones, decision rights, resource assignments, and escalation paths
  • Lead internal and external resources participating in solution development and implementation, both directly and through matrixed teams
  • Work with executive sponsors and initiative leads to establish appropriate operating cadence, resolve blockers, make or facilitate decisions, and maintain momentum
  • Exercise diplomacy, judgment, logic, and persuasion to navigate ambiguity, reconcile competing priorities, and overcome obstacles to successful execution
  • Ensure initiatives transition effectively from project-based implementation into sustainable day-to-day operations
• Lead business process and solution development
  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand current-state processes, business requirements, customer and employee needs, and root causes of performance gaps
  • Lead analysis of workflows, roles, systems, data, controls, and organizational dependencies to identify opportunities to improve effectiveness, efficiency, scalability, and customer experience
  • Develop and evaluate future-state processes and operating models that clearly define responsibilities, decision points, measures, and required capabilities
  • Partner closely with Technology and business process owners to translate business needs into practical technology-enabled solutions and implementation requirements
  • Ensure solutions are designed within the broader operating environment rather than as isolated functional changes
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, or eliminate work where appropriate
• Drive organizational readiness, implementation, and sustained adoption
  • Assess the organizational impact of planned changes, including impacts to roles, responsibilities, processes, systems, skills, leadership expectations, and ways of working
  • Develop implementation and change strategies appropriate to the scale, complexity, and audience affected by each initiative
  • Partner with Learning & Development, Communications, Human Resources, business leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure employees and leaders are appropriately prepared for change
  • Establish communication, training, leader enablement, job aids, feedback mechanisms, and other readiness activities required for successful implementation
  • Ensure change efforts clearly connect new processes and behaviors to business objectives and measures of success
  • Monitor adoption and operating performance following implementation, identify gaps, and lead corrective actions as needed
• Provide leadership across the Business Operations organization
  • Help establish priorities, operating standards, and ways of working across Business Operations disciplines
  • Lead and develop Business Operations professionals directly and through matrixed assignments, matching resources and capabilities to the needs of individual initiatives
  • Create clarity in responsibilities and expected outcomes while empowering team members to independently lead defined portions of work
  • Coach team members in structured problem solving, stakeholder management, executive communication, program execution, solution development, and change leadership
  • Promote coordination across Program Management, Learning & Development, process owners, Technology, and other Business Operations capabilities to deliver integrated solutions
  • Build repeatable practices and organizational capabilities that improve the company's ability to execute future strategic priorities
• Establish visibility, accountability, and measurement of business outcomes
  • Define meaningful success measures and key performance indicators in partnership with initiative sponsors and business owners
  • Maintain executive-level visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and expected outcomes
  • Develop and present clear, concise materials that enable effective executive decision-making
  • Ensure progress reporting emphasizes business outcomes and decisions required rather than activity alone
  • Evaluate implementation results and incorporate lessons learned into future initiatives, processes, and operating standards

Job Qualifications

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Master's degree in business, information systems, organizational development, education, or related field, or equivalent work experience preferred

Work Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in business operations, transformation, program management, process improvement, technology-enabled business solutions, change management, or related disciplines
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy and solution development through implementation and sustained execution
• Demonstrated experience partnering with senior executives and managing initiatives involving multiple functions, stakeholders, and competing priorities
• Experience leading teams directly and through matrixed organizational structures
• Experience in Media, advertising, sales operations, B2B sales environments, or similarly complex distributed organizations preferred

• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple complex initiatives and teams simultaneously while maintaining focus on priorities and business outcomes
• Excellent executive presence and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, build consensus, and constructively challenge stakeholders at all organizational levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including creation and presentation of executive-level recommendations, decision materials, implementation plans, and performance reporting
• Proven ability to formulate quantitative and qualitative analyses and make data-driven strategic and tactical decisions
• Ability to deliver under pressure and ambiguity, resolve conflict, make sound judgments, and overcome obstacles to progress
• Strong capability in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related business productivity and collaboration tools
• Experience with project/program management, process improvement, change management, or related methodologies preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%

• This job is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
