Senior Google Media Buyer MVR Digital | Remote | Full-Time
About MVR Digital
MVR Digital is a performance marketing agency recognized by Adweek as one of the Fastest Growing Agencies. We manage paid media for growth-stage DTC and e-commerce brands spending $100K to $1M+ monthly across Meta, Google, TikTok, and more.
We're remote-first with roots in New York, Denver, and Canada. Our clients come to us after being burned by agencies that overpromise. They stay because we own outcomes and tell them the truth.
The Role
You'll manage Google Ads campaigns across multiple e-commerce and DTC accounts, working closely with strategists and client success. This role is non-client-facing, but it's not purely executional either.
We want someone who understands Google's ecosystem well enough to have opinions. You know when the campaign structure is working against the algorithm, when Performance Max is cannibalizing Search, and when the bidding strategy needs a reset. You bring that thinking to the team, and you execute on it with precision.
EST hours preferred, with required overlap from 10 AM to 1 PM EST. As the agency scales, strong buyers get access to larger and more complex accounts.
What You'll Do
- Own Google Ads execution across e-commerce accounts, including Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube, and Demand Gen
- Monitor daily pacing and performance, adjusting budgets and bids as needed
- Troubleshoot issues quickly and execute optimizations without waiting to be prompted
- Contribute strategic input on account structure, testing approach, and campaign architecture
- Run structured tests across bidding strategies, audiences, and creative formats
- Stay current on Google platform changes, algorithm behavior, and best practices, and apply them proactively
- Maintain tracking integrity across GA4, GTM, and conversion events, and flag data quality issues before they affect decisions
- Build and maintain Looker Studio reporting that gives the CSM and strategist what they need without extra asks
- Maintain clean campaign structures, naming conventions, and documentation across all accounts
- Collaborate in Slack and ClickUp to stay aligned with strategists and client success
What You Bring
Google (Required)
- 4+ years of hands-on Google Ads buying experience for DTC or e-commerce brands
- Deep expertise across Search, Shopping, Performance Max, and YouTube, including the strategic rationale behind each
- Strong understanding of Google's machine learning systems and how campaign structure decisions affect them
- Experience managing accounts with $100K+ monthly ad spend across multiple accounts simultaneously
- Ability to diagnose performance issues at the structural, bidding, and creative level
- Solid command of GA4, GTM, conversion tracking setup, and attribution windows
- Current on Google platform changes and able to translate them into account decisions
- E-commerce background
Nice to Have
- Meta Ads experience for DTC or e-commerce brands
- TikTok Ads Manager experience
- Microsoft Ads experience
Working Style
- You work autonomously and follow through without reminders
- You bring observations and recommendations, not just status updates
- You communicate clearly in writing in an async-first environment
- You flag performance shifts before they show up on someone else's radar
How We Work
Our values shape how we operate day to day, not just what we put on a website.
- Act Like an Owner. You spot problems and bring solutions. Waiting to be told is not the standard.
- Clarity Over Complexity. Clean structures, clear communication, simple systems. If it's complicated, we make it simpler.
- Serve Clients' Best Interest. Your execution directly fuels client outcomes. That connection matters here.
- Data-Informed, Human-Led. Numbers guide decisions. Judgment closes them.
- We Win Together, We Lose Together. Strategists, creatives, and buyers succeed as a unit. Credit and accountability are shared.
Compensation and Perks
- USD $4,800 to $5,000/month, based on experience
- Full-time contractor arrangement
- PTO, paid sick leave, and local holidays observed
- Flexible Fridays
- Fully remote
You're a Good Fit If
- You know Google well enough to push back when the structure or strategy isn't right
- You can spot whether underperformance is a bidding problem, a structure problem, or a tracking problem
- You flag issues before they show up in client calls
- You want a focused role with a high-caliber team and room to grow into more complex accounts
- You've managed multiple accounts and know how to keep each one sharp without letting anything go stale

Buyer Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a buyer job in Chicago?
Focus your search on Chicago's retail, food distribution, and manufacturing sectors, which generate the highest volume of buyer openings in the city. The Loop and Near North Side concentrate corporate procurement offices, while the industrial corridors on the city's southwest side house supply chain teams. A background in vendor negotiation, category management, or inventory planning gives candidates a clear edge in Chicago's competitive market.
Which companies hire buyers in Chicago?
Companies currently hiring buyers in Chicago include Motorola Solutions, RXO, and Kraft Heinz, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Chicago's employer mix reflects its role as a major retail headquarters city and one of the country's largest food and consumer goods distribution hubs.
Are there remote buyer jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though it depends on the role. Analytical and indirect-spend buying positions are more remote-friendly, while buyers responsible for in-person vendor meetings or warehouse oversight are typically on-site. About 35% of buyer openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common at corporate retail and technology procurement teams headquartered downtown.
How can I get a buyer job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is through a purchasing coordinator or procurement assistant role, which many of the city's large retailers and food companies use as a pipeline for junior buyers. Chicago's extensive retail headquarters presence means entry-level roles open regularly. Familiarity with inventory software and a willingness to start in replenishment or vendor support functions helps candidates stand out locally.
Which industries hire the most buyers in Chicago?
Chicago buyer roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Manufacturing, and Food & Beverage, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Chicago's status as a national hub for retail corporate offices, food and beverage companies, and industrial manufacturing creates sustained, year-round demand for buyers across those sectors.
