In addition to performing calibration in several technical disciplines (Electrical, Physical/Dimensional, Force, Torque and Pressure) all calibration data and records are maintained internally utilizing our proprietary Supreme Metrology software.
We are currently looking for a talented Hand Tool Calibration Technician based in the Oshkosh, WI area. This is considered a traveling position with work being done in the local area and surrounding states. Travel is 75% day travel and 25% overnight, Per Diem and hotel are provided for overnight travel. Company vehicle and phone are provided. This full-time position is anticipated to begin immediately.
Hand Tool Calibration Technician Job Responsibilities Include:
· Repair and calibration of test and measurement equipment including, but not limited to, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, indicators, height gages, pin gages, thread gages.
· Perform depot and on-site calibrations as required.
· Develop calibration procedures and recommend associated standards.
· Complete applicable documentation related to assignments.
· Actively participates in a team environment.
· Communicate via e-mail, voice mail, memos, logs, etc.
· Ensure all required business tasks are completed in a timely and quality manner.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skill sets:
· PC skills – Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word experience.
· Understanding or desire to learn metrology principles including measurement of uncertainty.
· Working knowledge of functional gages.
· Above average communication skills with ability to positively interact with customers.
· Strong analytical skills
· Formal training in Metrology or Inspection.
· Basic knowledge of statistics and/or CPK studies.
· A working knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T.
· Machine shop experience
· ASQ certifications
Experience in or with a manufacturing quality system
