What's in it for you:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented 1st Shift Calibration Lab Technician to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the precise calibration, maintenance, and repair of measurement and testing equipment used in our manufacturing processes. This role is vital in ensuring that all instruments and tools meet stringent industry standards and contribute to the overall quality and efficiency of our production line.
What you will do:
- Perform Calibration: Accurately calibrate a wide range of instruments and equipment used in manufacturing, including electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic devices, following established procedures and standards.
- Maintain Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain calibration tools and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of calibration data, generate calibration certificates, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Troubleshoot and Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with measurement and testing equipment, performing necessary repairs or adjustments to maintain accuracy.
- Quality Control: Ensure all calibration activities comply with quality control standards, such as ISO 9001 and ISO 17025, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, and engineering teams to ensure calibration needs are met and support production goals.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
What you will bring:
- Education: Associate degree preferred in a relevant field such as Electronics, Engineering Technology; relevant experience may be substituted.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience within a manufacturing setting (quality) or similar environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with calibration software and equipment, strong understanding of measurement principles and standards, and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation, reporting, and collaboration with team members.
- Software Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Certification: Certification from a recognized body such as NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) or ASQ (American Society for Quality) is preferred.
