Care Manager Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a care manager job in Atlanta?
Focus your search on Atlanta's large integrated health systems, managed care plans headquartered in Buckhead and Midtown, and the behavioral health organizations concentrated along the Northside corridor. Candidates who hold a licensed clinical credential alongside a case management certification move faster through hiring. Experience with Medicaid managed care is a notable edge in Atlanta, where several major plans maintain significant local operations.
Which companies hire care managers in Atlanta?
Companies currently hiring care managers in Atlanta include Emory Healthcare, Grady Health System, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's mix of hospital systems, insurance carriers, and specialty behavioral health networks means openings range from acute care utilization roles to community-based case coordination positions.
Are there remote care manager jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on role type. Utilization review, telephonic case management, and insurance-side care coordination are the most remote-compatible, while hospital-based and community field roles are largely on-site. About 14% of care manager openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. Atlanta's large managed care and insurance employer base drives most of the remote-eligible postings.
How can I get a care manager job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is starting in a care coordinator or patient navigator role within one of the city's large hospital systems or federally qualified health centers, several of which are concentrated in the Grady Health and Emory corridors. These positions build the clinical coordination and documentation skills that Atlanta employers require for full care manager roles. Volunteering or interning with Atlanta's community mental health agencies can also open lateral pathways.
Which industries hire the most care managers in Atlanta?
