Patient Services Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a patient services manager in Georgia?
Most patient services manager roles in Georgia require a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a clinical field, combined with frontline healthcare experience. Georgia does not require a state-issued license specific to this management role, but employers across the state strongly prefer candidates who have worked in patient access, medical billing, or clinical coordination. Completing a healthcare management certificate through an accredited Georgia institution can also strengthen your candidacy with larger health systems.
Which companies hire patient services managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring patient services managers in Georgia right now include PathGroup, Piedmont Urgent Care by WellStreet, and OrthoAtlanta, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Georgia's concentration of large integrated health systems and academic medical centers means hiring tends to be consistent year-round rather than seasonal.
Which Georgia cities have the most patient services manager jobs?
Atlanta, Brunswick, and Gainesville have the most patient services manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates due to its density of major health systems and corporate healthcare headquarters, while Augusta's hiring is anchored by AU Health and the medical corridor surrounding Augusta University, and Savannah draws openings from Coastal Health System and a growing network of outpatient facilities.
Are there remote patient services manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, but they are relatively limited given that the role typically involves direct oversight of patient-facing staff and on-site operations. About 33% of patient services manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with most of those opportunities concentrated in revenue cycle management, patient access coordination, and administrative oversight functions that can be handled off-site.
How can I get hired as a patient services manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a patient services manager role from a frontline position such as patient access representative, medical receptionist, or billing coordinator at a Georgia hospital or clinic. Large systems like Emory Healthcare and WellStar Health System run internal leadership development tracks that prepare high-performing frontline staff for supervisory roles. Earning a certified healthcare access associate credential through the National Association of Healthcare Access Management strengthens your application and signals readiness for management responsibility.
Where can I find and apply to patient services manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to patient services manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings from employers across the state. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and target location, and apply directly to the employer.
