Patient Services Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a patient services manager in Florida?
Most Florida employers require a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health services management, or a related field, though some accept equivalent clinical or administrative experience. Florida does not require a state-issued license specific to patient services management, but familiarity with Florida Agency for Health Care Administration regulations is expected in most interviews. Earning a Certified Patient Experience Professional credential or a Certified Medical Manager designation strengthens candidacy and is commonly listed in Florida postings.
Which companies hire patient services managers in Florida?
Employers hiring patient services managers in Florida right now include Memorial Healthcare System, Brooks Rehabilitation, and MCR Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's density of large regional health systems, federally qualified health centers, and multi-specialty outpatient groups means consistent openings across both major metros and mid-size markets such as Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale.
Which Florida cities have the most patient services manager jobs?
Jacksonville, Bradenton, and Miami account for the greatest concentration of patient services manager openings in Florida. Miami's volume is driven by a high density of specialty clinics and large academic medical centers, Tampa's market reflects its major hospital networks and growing ambulatory sector, and Orlando's rapid population growth has expanded both hospital-based and outpatient hiring across the greater metro area.
Are there remote patient services manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based fields, since many patient services manager roles involve direct staff oversight and on-site coordination. About 0% of patient services manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with availability varying widely by employer. The functions most frequently performed remotely include insurance pre-authorization, patient communication follow-up, and reporting or quality analytics.
How can I get hired as a patient services manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into the role from a patient access representative, medical receptionist, or scheduling coordinator position, all of which are broadly available at Florida health systems including AdventHealth and HCA Florida Healthcare. Large Florida hospital groups regularly post lead patient access or team lead roles that serve as a bridge to management. Completing a healthcare administration certificate through a Florida state college and gaining familiarity with Epic or Cerner makes a junior candidate noticeably more competitive during screening.
Where can I find and apply to patient services manager jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to patient services manager jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and location, and apply directly to the employer through each posting.
