INTRODUCTION
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking an experienced individual contributor to lead strategic supply chain initiatives for the critical infrastructure required to build and operate OCI’s rapidly expanding global data center footprint.
Reporting to the VP of Data Center Supply Chain, this role will own key sourcing, planning, procurement, and supplier-management workstreams for mechanical, electrical, and infrastructure equipment supporting next-generation cloud data centers. The successful candidate will work across cooling, power, and prefabricated infrastructure categories, helping secure supply for long-lead equipment essential to hyperscale deployments.
This role will partner closely with Data Center Engineering, Construction, Capacity Planning, Finance, Global Procurement, Manufacturing Operations, Logistics, and Cloud Infrastructure Operations to enable predictable, scalable delivery of OCI infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies for critical data center infrastructure equipment.
- Lead supplier engagements, RFx processes, commercial negotiations, and contract-development activities for assigned categories.
- Partner with Capacity Planning, Engineering, and Construction teams to translate infrastructure roadmaps into demand plans and procurement strategies.
- Develop and maintain forecasts for long-lead mechanical and electrical equipment, identifying supply constraints and mitigation actions early.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships, including performance across capacity, quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
- Support negotiations for pricing, capacity reservations, lead times, warranties, service agreements, and long-term supply commitments.
- Identify opportunities to diversify supply sources, improve supply continuity, and reduce operational, geopolitical, and supplier-concentration risk.
- Drive cross-functional resolution of supply, schedule, commercial, and technical issues affecting data center deployments.
- Analyze market conditions, supplier capacity, commodity trends, and industry developments to inform sourcing decisions.
- Establish and track KPIs for supplier performance, procurement execution, cost, inventory, and deployment readiness.
- Develop business-continuity and contingency plans for critical components and participate in response efforts during supply disruptions.
- Improve procurement processes, planning accuracy, reporting, and automation across assigned supply chain workstreams.
- Influence stakeholders through data-driven recommendations and clear communication, without direct people-management responsibility.
Scope of Categories
This role may support sourcing and supply planning for equipment including:
- Chillers, cooling systems, cooling towers, HVAC, CRAH, and CRAC systems
- Power distribution equipment, PDUs, switchgear, transformers, busway, and UPS systems
- Backup generators and associated electrical infrastructure
- Prefabricated electrical and mechanical modules
- Data center construction materials and other long-lead infrastructure components
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, procurement, infrastructure planning, operations, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing or managing supply for large-scale mechanical, electrical, industrial, construction, or mission-critical infrastructure equipment.
- Experience working with engineering, construction, manufacturing, or operations organizations on complex infrastructure programs.
- Proven ability to lead complex commercial discussions and supplier negotiations.
- Experience developing demand forecasts, supply plans, category strategies, or risk-mitigation plans for long-lead materials or equipment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and program-management skills.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous, global environment and influence senior stakeholders across functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting hyperscale cloud infrastructure, large-scale data center construction, or mission-critical facilities.
- Experience with cooling, power, electrical distribution, generators, HVAC, or modular data center infrastructure.
- Experience with global suppliers and international supply-chain operations.
- Experience managing high-value, multi-year commercial agreements.
- MBA, advanced degree, or relevant supply chain/procurement certification.

Employers in these sectors value direct floor-level or team-lead experience over credentials alone. A background in customer-facing operations management, staff scheduling, and P&L ownership gives candidates a clear edge in this market.
