Channel Partnerships Manager Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a channel partnerships manager in California?
Channel partnerships manager roles in California require no state-issued license or registration. Most employers look for a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field combined with prior experience in channel sales, partner development, or indirect sales. Candidates often move into the role from inside sales, account management, or business development positions. Earning vendor-specific certifications from companies like Salesforce, AWS, or Cisco strengthens a California application considerably.
How much do channel partnerships managers make in California?
Channel partnerships managers in California earn a median of about $193,620 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $104,370 for the lowest 10% to over $326,400 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire channel partnerships managers in California?
Employers hiring channel partnerships managers in California right now include CHANEL, Paychex, and Mainspring Energy, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. California's concentration of enterprise software headquarters and cloud infrastructure companies means partner-focused roles appear consistently across both large platforms and growth-stage technology vendors.
Which California cities have the most channel partnerships manager jobs?
San Francisco, San Diego, and Costa Mesa have the most channel partnerships manager openings in California. San Francisco leads because of its density of enterprise software and cloud company headquarters, while Los Angeles reflects demand from media technology and telecommunications firms, and San Diego draws openings from cybersecurity and defense technology companies with active partner programs.
Are there remote channel partnerships manager jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 34% of channel partnerships manager openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on calls, virtual partner enablement sessions, and digital pipeline management. The most remote-friendly portions of the role involve partner onboarding, training delivery, and co-marketing coordination.
How can I get hired as a channel partnerships manager in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a channel sales coordinator or partner operations role at a California technology company, where you gain direct exposure to partner programs before moving into a management function. Large California employers like Salesforce, Cisco, and ServiceNow run sales development and partner associate programs that welcome candidates with limited experience. Moving laterally from inside sales, customer success, or marketing operations roles also opens the door, particularly if you can demonstrate familiarity with a major CRM platform or have completed a vendor channel certification.
Where can I find and apply to channel partnerships manager jobs in California?
You can find and apply to channel partnerships manager jobs in California on Migrate Mate, which lists current California openings from employers actively hiring for the role. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and location, and apply directly to each one.
