Our services span utility master planning, wastewater treatment, drinking water treatment, flood protection, water resource management, reuse, applied research, transmission and distribution, water supply, asset management, operations assistance, program management, construction management and inspection, funding and financing, strategic communications, advisory services, and more.
What You’ll Do:
As a Project Engineer, you'll be part of a collaborative and innovative team focused on delivering high-impact water and wastewater projects. Whether you're crunching design calculations or coordinating across offices, your work will directly support the success of our clients and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and lead projects related to water, wastewater, and/or water resource management.
- Prepare design calculations, cost estimates, technical reports, and engineering plans and specifications with precision and creativity.
- Accumulate and analyze data, presenting findings in professional reports, memos, and presentations for internal and client use.
- Take initiative and work independently while collaborating effectively with Project Managers and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Lead portions of design work and help ensure high-quality, accurate deliverables that meet regulatory and industry standards.
- Assist with permitting applications and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with team members across multiple offices and disciplines to keep projects on track and aligned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
- Previous experience executing technical studies, analyses, and/or designing and creating plans and specifications for water focused projects
- Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
- Ability to make independent decisions and be accountable for the results
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position is $67,000 - $134,000 depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
