Clinical Data Analyst Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical data analyst in Nebraska?
Most clinical data analyst roles in Nebraska require a bachelor's degree in health informatics, biostatistics, nursing, or a life science, and Nebraska does not issue a state license specific to this role. Employers in Omaha and Lincoln typically value certifications such as the Certified Clinical Data Manager credential from the Society for Clinical Data Management. Building proficiency in Epic, SAS, or SQL and gaining exposure to clinical trial or healthcare operations environments puts candidates in a strong position for Nebraska openings.
How much do clinical data analysts make in Nebraska?
Clinical data analysts in Nebraska earn a median of about $98,230 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $66,230 for the lowest 10% to over $133,140 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire clinical data analysts in Nebraska?
Employers hiring clinical data analysts in Nebraska right now include HDR, Mortenson Construction, and Google, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nebraska's concentration of major health systems, regional insurers, and pharmaceutical support organizations means demand for this role remains steady across both Omaha and Lincoln throughout the year.
Which Nebraska cities have the most clinical data analyst jobs?
Omaha, Lincoln, and Bellevue have the most clinical data analyst openings in Nebraska. Omaha drives the largest share of listings because it is home to Nebraska Medicine, Children's Nebraska, and several large regional insurers and health technology firms, while Lincoln's concentration of state government health agencies and University of Nebraska Health Sciences operations supports a smaller but consistent pipeline of openings.
Are there remote clinical data analyst jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, and more than most fields. Clinical data analyst work is largely desk-based and data-driven, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 28% of clinical data analyst openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly health systems and insurers have adopted flexible work models for analytical roles. Data cleaning, statistical programming, and report generation are the functions most commonly performed fully remote.
How can I get hired as a clinical data analyst in Nebraska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a lateral move from a clinical or health operations role into a data-focused position within the same Nebraska employer. Nebraska Medicine and Children's Nebraska regularly hire clinical informatics associates and data coordinator positions that accept candidates from nursing, medical records, or revenue cycle backgrounds. Completing an Epic certification or a SAS programming course strengthens an application significantly, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center's health informatics graduate program is a recognized credential that large Omaha-area employers view favorably for candidates making the transition.
Where can I find and apply to clinical data analyst jobs in Nebraska?
You can find and apply to clinical data analyst jobs in Nebraska on Migrate Mate, which lists current Nebraska openings from health systems, insurers, and other employers across the state. Search the listings to find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the ones that match your experience and preferred location.
