Clinical Development Specialist Jobs in Colorado Springs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a clinical development specialist job in Colorado Springs?
Colorado Springs hires clinical development specialists most heavily through its defense health and biomedical sectors, particularly employers tied to Fort Carson, Peterson Space Force Base, and the growing Briargate medical corridor. Candidates with experience in regulatory documentation, clinical trial coordination, or medical device development have a clear edge. Targeting mid-size biomedical companies and hospital-affiliated research programs along the Powers corridor tends to yield the most direct opportunities.
Which companies hire clinical development specialists in Colorado Springs?
Colorado Springs clinical development specialist roles are posted by Kratos Defense, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market is shaped by a mix of defense health contractors, regional hospital systems, and biomedical device companies that have grown significantly along the north Colorado Springs research corridors.
Are there remote clinical development specialist jobs in Colorado Springs?
Yes, but selectively: clinical development specialist work is largely site-dependent for hands-on trial coordination and device testing, while regulatory writing, data review, and protocol development roles are more remote-compatible. About 50% of clinical development specialist openings tied to Colorado Springs are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the mixed nature of the local employer base. Regulatory affairs and documentation-focused roles with Colorado Springs biomedical firms tend to offer the most remote flexibility.
How can I get a clinical development specialist job in Colorado Springs with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Colorado Springs is through clinical research coordinator or regulatory affairs assistant roles at the medical device and defense health companies clustered in the Briargate and Interquest Parkway areas. UCHealth Memorial Hospital and local contract research organizations occasionally post entry-level clinical operations roles that lead directly into development specialist tracks. A background in life sciences combined with any exposure to GCP training, IRB submissions, or FDA documentation puts a candidate ahead of the field locally.
Which industries hire the most clinical development specialists in Colorado Springs?
Most clinical development specialist openings in Colorado Springs sit in Education, Aerospace & Defense, and Insurance, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Colorado Springs's concentration of defense health contractors supporting military installations and an expanding north-side biomedical corridor drives consistent local demand across those sectors.
