Clinical Research Nurse Jobs in Memphis: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a clinical research nurse job in Memphis?
Focus your search on Memphis's Medical Center District, where academic medical centers, cancer programs, and specialty research clinics hire the most clinical research nurses. Contract research organizations operating in Midtown and East Memphis also post regularly. Candidates who hold GCP certification, have experience with electronic data capture systems, or can demonstrate oncology or cardiology protocol experience stand out in this market.
Which companies hire clinical research nurses in Memphis?
Companies currently hiring clinical research nurses in Memphis include St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, CNS Healthcare, and Iterative Health, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Memphis hiring tends to be driven by large academic health systems and the specialty clinical trial networks they support.
Are there remote clinical research nurse jobs in Memphis?
Yes, though with limits: clinical research nursing is largely on-site because it involves direct patient contact, protocol monitoring, and specimen handling. About 0% of clinical research nurse openings tied to Memphis are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and when remote work does appear, it typically covers study coordination, data review, and regulatory document management rather than patient-facing duties.
How can I get a clinical research nurse job in Memphis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Memphis is moving laterally from a clinical nursing role, particularly in oncology, cardiology, or infectious disease units at one of the Medical Center District's hospital systems, where research coordinators are often recruited internally. Applying for research coordinator positions or clinical trials assistant roles that pair you with a supervising research nurse is another common route, and completing a GCP certification before applying strengthens any application significantly.
