Two PHP applications on Ubuntu (nginx/Apache, MySQL, Redis) running on EC2, fronted by Cloudflare (DNS, WAF, Zero Trust Access). The platforms are stable and business-critical, with real room to mature in availability, automation, and cost efficiency. You will set the direction.

What YOU Will Do

- Own the AWS environment end to end: compute, networking, IAM, databases, storage, and the Cloudflare edge.
- Improve the availability, scalability, and resilience of production workloads.
- Own monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems.
- Plan and carry out database and platform upgrades.
- Manage infrastructure as code and standardize how environments are built and changed.
- Own AWS spend: track costs, find savings, and keep the bill predictable.
- Use the AWS Well-Architected Framework to assess the environment and build a prioritized improvement roadmap.
- Maintain and test disaster recovery and backup plans.
- Serve as primary on-call for production infrastructure incidents and run post-incident reviews.

Who YOU Are

- 5+ years operating production AWS infrastructure (EC2, ASG, ALB, VPC, IAM, RDS/Aurora, EBS).
- Current AWS certification (Solutions Architect, CloudOps Engineer/SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer; Associate level or higher).
- Terraform or AWS CDK used to manage a production environment.
- Scripting in Python or Bash.
- Linux and LAMP-stack operations: Ubuntu, nginx or Apache, PHP, MySQL.
- Cloudflare in production: DNS, WAF, Zero Trust Access.
- Have owned an AWS bill and reduced it.
- Have carried on-call for customer-facing systems.

Nice to have:

- AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer Professional certification; prior Well-Architected Review; multi-tenant SaaS or e-commerce experience.
