Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing our organization’s network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Intune, Azure, and Active Directory. Candidates with hands-on experience in cabling and fiber terminations will be considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and support local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and network segments.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high levels of availability and security.
- Administer Microsoft Intune for device management and security policies.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud resources and services.
- Administer Active Directory, including user and group management, authentication, and permissions.
- Perform regular network maintenance, including firmware updates and patch management.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cabling, including fiber terminations (preferred).
- Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to support organizational technology needs.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in network administration or a similar IT role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Azure, and Active Directory is required.
- Experience in cabling and fiber terminations is a plus.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and hardware.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
