Mid Level Commercial Account Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level commercial account manager job?
Position your experience around owned outcomes, not just assisted ones. Highlight specific accounts you retained or expanded, revenue you protected, and deals you closed with limited manager involvement. Applications that quantify portfolio size, renewal rates, or upsell results stand out. Tailor your resume to show you can run a book of business independently, not just support one.
Which companies hire mid level commercial account managers?
Companies hiring mid level commercial account managers right now include HUB International, USI Insurance Services, and HP, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers established enterprise software firms, regional insurance carriers, logistics providers, and B2B services companies looking for account managers who can own relationships without heavy oversight.

Yes, though availability varies by industry and account type. About 33% of mid level commercial account manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with fully remote roles most common in SaaS, insurance, and technology services where client relationships are managed digitally rather than through in-person visits.
How do I move up to a mid level commercial account manager role?
Growth from entry level to mid level comes from accumulating ownership, not just experience. Focus on taking full responsibility for smaller accounts early, consistently hitting renewal and upsell targets, and developing the ability to handle objections and negotiations without escalating. Employers promote when they see someone managing relationships independently and producing measurable portfolio impact over time.
