Position Summary:

The Client seeks an experienced Marketing and Demand Generation Program Manager to join the Global Sponsorship and Business Development team on a contract basis. In this role, you will serve as the operational leader for the Demand Generation function, managing day-to-day execution of integrated marketing campaigns across channels to drive Sponsorship sales and partner acquisition. As the Marketing and Demand Generation Program Manager, you will be the single-threaded owner of all demand generation projects, overseeing a team of contingent workers (email operations, analyst, and copywriter). This role will drive existing strategies and best practices with a focus on program/project management, stakeholder communication, and operational excellence. You will ensure campaigns are delivered on time, blockers are removed, and the team operates smoothly across multiple workstreams. You will work cross-functionally with teams including Sponsorship Program Leads, Email, Brand, as well as external agencies. The ideal candidate will excel at managing multiple programs simultaneously, leading teams through complex timelines, and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders. This role will be an individual contributor role with team oversight responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as the primary point of contact and single-threaded owner for all demand generation projects, managing relationships with leadership and key stakeholders and prioritizing business needs with their guidance.
- Oversee and manage a team of contingent workers (yellow badges) including email operations, reporting analyst, and copywriter, providing direction, removing blockers, and ensuring quality output.
- Serve as the final approver and reviewer of all demand generation deliverables before they go to market, ensuring quality, accuracy, and alignment with campaign goals.
- Work with the campaign operations manager who will execute email campaigns, ensuring alignment with broader demand generation timelines and goals.
- Drive end-to-end project management for multi-channel demand generation campaigns (email, web, social, sales materials) supporting Global Sponsorships across re: Invent, Global Summits, Industry Events, and Cloud and AI Days.
- Maintain and run existing operating mechanisms including Airtable DG planning, editorial calendars, renewal rate dashboards, and reporting cadences to keep campaigns on track.
- Run weekly team syncs and 1:1s with team members and two agencies, and join cross-functional coordination meetings with program leads.
- Work with the reporting analyst to measure, analyze, and deliver campaign performance reports, wrap-up reports, renewal rate dashboards, and weekly/monthly performance updates to leadership.
- Identify and escalate risks and drive resolution to ensure seamless campaign delivery and team productivity. In a typical day, you will run team standups to align priorities and unblock work across the demand generation team. You will review project timelines in Airtable, check in with the email operations specialist on campaign execution status, and connect with the copywriter on content deliverables. You will join cross-functional syncs with Program Leads, Brand, and regional stakeholders to coordinate campaign assets and timelines. You will provide leadership updates on project status, flag any risks or blockers, and ensure alignment across workstreams. You will also work with the analyst to review campaign performance data, compile wrap-up reports, and track metrics against goals. Throughout the week, you will update project trackers, send stakeholder communications, and plan priorities. You are the go-to person for questions, escalations, and decisions related to demand generation execution.

Part of the Marketing Events, Sports Marketing, and Sponsorship organization, Global Sponsorships and Business Development creates strategic, ROI-generating sponsorship opportunities for Partners and customers. Our program is designed to support companies in growing their business with the company and our customers. Sponsorship opportunities are offered globally across a variety of marketing programs. The sponsorship program has four goals:
1. Engage customers with quality sponsor-developed content, education, and networking that enriches the attendee experience and demonstrates the value of our Partner community
2. Deliver sponsoring partners ROI through shared leads, pipeline acceleration, executive relationship building, and thought leadership that transforms customer engagement into business results
3. Optimize revenue cost recovery for Marketing, with sponsorship
4. Align to the Partner Organization business by curating a partner composition that supports APO's strategic priorities — including co-sell motions, competency development, and the acceleration of workload growth — ensuring our sponsorship program reinforces the partner flywheel that drives commercial outcomes

We design sponsorship programs with equal focus on our four goals, creating a compounding value exchange for three distinct stakeholder groups: the customer, the Partner, and the Company. The Marketing events with sponsorship programs include re: Invent, Global and Public Sector Summits, industry events, third-party events, executive marketing events, and field programs. The Demand Generation function within the Global Sponsorship team is responsible for driving awareness, leads, and revenue for sponsorship programs through integrated multi-channel campaigns that reach 600K+ partners globally.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing and demand generation experience
- 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects or programs with multiple stakeholders
- Experience with demand generation campaign operations and email marketing execution
- Experience managing or overseeing contingent workers, vendors, or matrixed team members
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements and report on campaign performance
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience utilizing marketing systems and tools including email platforms, web analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce) for demand generation
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage complex timelines across multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to provide clear stakeholder updates
- Experience in B2B technology marketing, cloud services, or sponsorship/partnership marketing
- Experience using customer research, hard data, and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
- Familiarity with Airtable and project tracking tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones and regions
- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of time zones and languages
- PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification
- Familiarity with SharePoint, WorkDocs, or similar document management and collaboration platforms
- Experience managing external agency relationships, including running regular syncs, aligning on deliverables, and holding agencies accountable to timelines and quality standards
- Demonstrated experience communicating project status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
