Mid Level Commercial Property Casualty Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level commercial property casualty job?
Lead with ownership. Highlight accounts or portfolios you managed independently, coverage decisions you made without escalation, and any client relationships you maintained from renewal to claim. Tailor your resume to show deepening specialization, whether in property, casualty, or a specific industry vertical, and quantify outcomes like retention rates, loss ratios improved, or premium volume handled.
Which companies hire mid level commercial property casualtys?
Companies hiring mid level commercial property casualtys right now include USI Insurance Services, CBIZ, and SIAA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Regional brokerages, national carriers, and specialty insurers all compete for mid level talent with proven account management experience and the technical depth to handle complex commercial lines.
Are there remote mid level commercial property casualty jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and role type. About 20% of mid level commercial property casualty openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with underwriting and analytics roles tending toward more flexibility than client-facing account management positions, which often require in-person presence for relationship building.
How do I move up to a mid level commercial property casualty role?
Progression into a mid level role comes from taking on steadily broader responsibility over your early years. That means moving beyond task execution to independently managing accounts, developing underwriting judgment across multiple coverage lines, demonstrating measurable outcomes like improved loss ratios or retained clients, and showing you can guide less experienced colleagues without direct supervision.
