- Education: Undergraduate or Graduate students. This program is designed and optimized for rising Junior or Senior Undergraduate students. Students must be actively enrolled in either an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program as of May 31st, 2027 to be eligible.
- Majors: Open to students pursuing degrees in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English, Business Administration, and other related fields.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and tone
- Quick researcher with ability to find and synthesize information efficiently
- Comfortable taking initiative and ownership of tasks from start to finish
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
- Familiarity with Canva or other design tools is a plus
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to actively engage with execution of projects
Activities:
- Draft and edit internal communications content for Indigo, Protective’s intranet platform
- Assist in writing and producing weekly news emails for employees
- Support copy editing and proofreading across various communications
- Create visual content using Canva and PowerPoint for internal campaigns
- Conduct research to support storytelling and communications planning
- Help maintain and update content on Indigo
- Collaborate with team members on communications initiatives and special projects
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas
