HR Coordinator Jobs in Alabama: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a hr coordinator in Alabama?
Most Alabama employers require a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Alabama does not issue a state-specific license for hr coordinators, but earning a nationally recognized credential such as the SHRM-CP or PHR through the HR Certification Institute strengthens your candidacy significantly. Larger Alabama employers, particularly in manufacturing and healthcare, typically prefer candidates who hold or are actively pursuing one of these designations.
Which companies hire hr coordinators in Alabama?
Alabama hr coordinator roles are posted by Wayne-Sanderson Farms, AAA USA, and Signature Homes and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Alabama's industrial base, anchored by automotive manufacturing in the central and western parts of the state and aerospace in the Huntsville corridor, means a wide range of large employers maintain dedicated HR teams that hire coordinators regularly.
Which Alabama cities have the most hr coordinator jobs?
Decatur, Hoover, and Lanett have the most hr coordinator openings in Alabama. Birmingham leads as the state's largest metro, driven by its concentration of healthcare systems, financial services firms, and corporate headquarters, while Huntsville's aerospace and defense industry creates consistent HR demand, and Mobile's port-connected manufacturing sector rounds out the state's main hiring centers.
How can I get hired as a hr coordinator in Alabama with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for HR assistant or recruiting coordinator roles at Alabama's large healthcare systems and manufacturers, such as UAB Medicine, Huntsville Hospital, or automotive suppliers, which routinely hire recent graduates into support-level positions. Completing an internship through the University of Alabama or Auburn University's business programs gives candidates a direct line to Alabama employers. Earning your SHRM student membership and pursuing the SHRM-CP early signals commitment and helps differentiate you from other entry-level applicants.
Where can I find and apply to hr coordinator jobs in Alabama?
You can find and apply to hr coordinator jobs in Alabama on Migrate Mate, which lists current Alabama openings across Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile, and other markets throughout the state. Find roles that fit your experience and location preference and apply directly to the employers posting them.
